Like Mama Ru would say: ‘If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you’r e going to love somebody else?’ Can I get an Amen? This perfectly sums up Milkshake festival. Thick, thin, small, large, in-charge, submissive, gay, straight, trans,  black, white or beige: people are the salt of the earth and this is what is celebrated at Milkshake festival. The weekend of 29 and 30th of July it’s that time of the year again to celebrity love. Celebrate diversity. For boys who love girls who love girls who love boys who love boys. My favorite time of the year.

I’ve been every year so far. What I love the most is the mix of people enjoying the festival. From dragqueens, to fetish queers, from faghags to leather beers. Everybody say love! Milkshake festival shows that entertainment, taste in music, choice of clothing and status has nothing to do with sexuality. Life is just a party thanks to the great diversity of skin colors, religions, sexual preferences and male and female forms. Milkshake wants to celebrate the city’s initiatives and is an impetus to bring courtesy and friendly manners.

This year Milkshake Festival welcomes Jodie Harsh, Joost van Bellen, The G Team, and many more. Shaking your cakes on R&B tunes at Viezepoezendek, get topless and hug some hairy muscle man at Erwin Olaf, smell the Zwitsal baby shampoo twinks at Supertoys or flirt with Circuit boys at Sexy party. There is a dancefloor and crowd for every mood.
