Whynot Coffee & Wine – New York City, West Village
West Village is one of my personal favorite neighbourhoods in New York City. In West Village you don’t find lot’s of mono-brand stores, but mostly unique and funny small boutique shops. Same is for the restaurants and bars. One of my favourite hang-outs in West Village, especially for breakfast is Whynot Coffee & Wine.
Whynot is located on the corner of Gay Street. If that doesn’t sounds promising, I don’t know. Whynot offers all types of coffees, delicious cakes, pastries and sweets, and quiches. Everything you need for a delicious breakfast or lunch. Whynot feels like a home. The waiters are super friendly and down-to-earth. The café is decorated like a living room. Everybody is chatting with each other or working on their computer. The plates and cups are super kitschy, to high-light the living room ambiance. Moreover it’s a perfect spot to watch the trendy people of the West Village passing by, since it’s on a corner and surrounded by windows. If that isn’t enough reason to come here, Whynot tries to get you in the café by having super funny slogans on the display in front of the café. Slogans like ‘Coffee keeps me going, until it’s acceptable time to drink wine’. Well and since I haven’t tasted the wine here, a good reason to come back soon.
And just like me addicted to wifi? Well they don’t only have wifi at Starbucks, at Why Not they do as well.
