The Wolseley, London
When I (Hunter Niels) lived in London I often went to the Wolseley. This restaurant feels like old English glamour. The Wolseley used to be a prestigious car showroom. The restaurant is very specious, however still elegant. It’s a very popular restaurant for celebrities and fashion designers. You are not allowed to make pictures inside, that is probably why they feel so comfortable over here. Celebrities that regular come here are: Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfrey and Paris Hilton. However the old May-Fair ladies like to have a cup of tea and scones here as well. The food is just as classic as the atmosphere: Steak tartar, pumpkin soup and lots of pastries. You can visit the Wolseley for breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner. Make sure you make a reservation, no matter what time you are planning to visit, it is always crowded. Since the Wolseley is so central (Piccadilly street), it is the perfect place to start the night before you go into SoHo (gay district) or to the more chique May-Fair clubs.
