Symforosa, Antwerp

This weekend I (Hunter Niels) went to Antwerp. Next to some fabulous shopping at Renaissance (Alexander Wang sweater, Acne shirt, Unconditional tanktop), I had to enjoy the culinair side of Antwerp as well. Nothing is better than experiencing a city like a local. A perfect area to do this is ‘t Zuid, and especially the square: Marnix Plaats. There are many nice bars and restaurants at this square. Many locals pass by here, and meet up with friends for a drink or bites. I went to Symforossa. A very clean restaurants, modern furniture, lovely food and great spot to overview the square (and see all the cute Belgian boys passing by). They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and it’s also a nice spot for cocktails. Me and my friend sat outside and really enjoyed ourselves.  I had the seabass with mash potatos and zeekraal. Healthy and tasty. Marnix plaats and symforossa is the perfect place to go to if you are done with the crowdiness of the touristic areas of Antwerp. It’s a 10/15  minute walk from Nationale straat (shopping area). That’s a reasonable walk after a heavy day of shopping.
