The Stanton Social, New York City
Once it comes to dinner, the Hunters are very bad in making choices. We always want to try the whole menu. That’s why we love restaurants where you have to share the food. Sharing food makes going out for dinner with friends just a little more vibriant. You have a cocktail or a glass of wine, gossip, chitchat, and once every while there comes a new dish on the table. Perfect way to spend the night, or start your night of partying. In New York City Spice Market is the perfect spot to do this. However Spice Market could be a little bit touristic now and than. Another great ‘shared dining spot’ is the Stanton Social.Stanton Social is in the lower east side. The kitchen is a mixture of fushion, french and italian. A menu for everyonce taste. The dishes are served steadily and constinuously throughout the dinner. So it’s never too late to order a dish extra. Hunters’ favourite dishes: Potato & Goat Cheese Pierogies with caramelized onions & truffle creme fraiche,;Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi - pickled jalapeño, avocado, yuzu ginger dipping sauce and the Sweet & Sour Chicken & Cashew Spring Rolls and the…. well we could spel out the whole menu, since they are all worth trying. Stanton Social really gives you the opportunity experience multiple dishes and flavors throughout the meal. Besides the fantastic food, the ambiance is a reason to come to the restaurant as well. Up stairs is the cocktail bar, where you could hang out, before you go to your table. Down stairs is the restaurant. The interior is modern but warm in the same time. The hand painted panels gives the restaurant an Asian touch, while the wine cellar is very minimalistic and almost industrial. For us it was the perfect end of a lovely day of shopping and the perfect start of a night of partying in Le Bain.
