The Standard, New York City

Unfortunately we had to mis the events from Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. And we were to tired to party hardy. However, we might had a hel of a trip with British Airways, we still had to go out to feel the atmosphere of the city that never sleeps and Fashion Night Out. To get in the Fashion Week mood, we went on our first night in New York to the Meatpacking District, the Standard Hotel. Fashion night out was just finished, so the streets were full of fashionista’s, photographers, celebrities and models. We bumped into Darren Chris (Blaine on Glee) and Jared Leto in our first hour in New York. A good place to spot celebrities is the Standard Hotel. The hotel has a huge terrace, a funky lobby, and a delicious restaurant (The Standard Grill). And than we haven’t even talked about the club (Boom Boom Club) and the hotel itself (more about this, during the week because we’re planning to go there for a night out.) We went for some red wine and French fries on the terrace of the Standard, and enjoyed all the beautifull people passing by. On the menu they have cocktails and some nice bites, even after midnight. The Standard Grill serves obviously some good easy grill dishes. Especially the Wild Striped Bass has to be amazing, with the pistachio black truffel sauce, and asparagus. The Standard is the perfect spot for a good night out, or just more easy to have a good meal and watch the IT boys and girls from all over the world.
