SS15 trend report: Bold designer denim

NYC streetstyle

If there is one thing you should invest in for this Spring/Summer it’s jeans. Preferably designer jeans. Not a simple minimalistic skinnyjeans. No it’s time to go crazy this Spring when it comes to denim. Concerning shape all models come back on the runway, from skinny, to boyfriend, to tappered and over-sized. One thing the designers did had in common was going bold on designing the jeans. Dior wen’t for paint drops. MBMJ (Marc by Marc Jacobs) went for patchwork, this model almost reminded me of the Dickies jeans what the alternative skaters were wearing back in my teenage years. The Dsquared2 jeans looked like this hot school boy was bored in class and used his white pencil to write some notes on his pants. Kenzo showed a less bold version when it comes to colour. They showed a more tailored version of the jeans. I started to ‘invest’ this fall already with designer denim with my striped Dries van Noten jeans.
