Scoop, New York City
Five more weeks and the Hunters will be in New York City. To come a little bit in the NYC-spirit we give a NYC hotspot every week. This week it is the fashion store Scoop. The store is located throughout the States, but one of our favourites is the one in meatpacking district, opposite Jeffrey and Diane von Fustenberg, and very close to Gansevoort and Pastis. Scoop is more specialized in streetwear and jeans compared to Jeffrey’s which is more formal and high-end fashion. Etro, Rag & Bone, Belstaff, Paul Smith, Theory, DVF and Helmut Lang are some of the brands at Scoop. They also sell Seven, for all mankind jeans. This American brand is far more cheaper over here than in Europe, especially now that the dollar is so low. I (Hunter Niels) bought a pair of Seven jeans last time I was in NYC, and this is about 7 years ago, I still wear those jeans. Sexy, noted fashion photographer, Nigel Barker, lives around the corner of this store, and is a frequent visitor. When I was in the store half of the girls fainted, because he walked in. He sure liked the attention and had an irresisteble smile. It made it a hel lot easier to pay all my purchases, because I didn’t look at the machine, but only had eyes for Mister Barker.
