Raf Simons Backpack
Backpacks have never been so popular as this year. Especially when it comes to streetstyle. All IT-models, editors and bloggers got snapped with a fancy backpack. Everybody just seems to love this model of bags. Suddenly your old-school bag became an IT-bag. Even Karl Lagerfeld felt for it and designed a tweed version for Chanel. I (Hunter Niels) fell for it as well. Besides that a backpack is handy on my bicycle on my way to work, it brings back fun high-school memories.
And I especially started to like the bag when one of the most renowned designers designed one: Raf Simons for Eastpak. This year Eastpak and Raf Simons teamed up again. All the fabrics of the bags come straight from the Raf Simons fall winter 2013 collection. I went for this stylish navy brown striped version of the exclusive collection. The perfection is in the details. The seams are all heat fused, so they have a minimum presence creating a sleek appearance. On top of this there is no branding on the outside, which makes the bag look even more chic and sleek. It was hard choosing but I went for the brown/navy version. Surprising because of the stripes, but subtle because of the colors.
