The shirt I’m wearing in these pictures is from the first collection of Marc by Marc Jacobs which was in the hands of Katie Hillier (formerly Marc by Marc Jacobs accessories consultant) and Luella Bartley (who had her own London-based label Luella). It was the first time they showed as the public face of the collection in stead of Marc Jacobs himself. Which gives Marc Jacobs himself the opportunity to focus on the Marc Jacobs label. The collection Marc by Marc Jacobs began in 2000 as the more affordable defusion line of Marc Jacobs. Throughout the years Marc by Marc Jacobs has grown to become 70 % of the business according to NY Times. This time Mr. Jacobs was sitting front-row to watch the show. Collection got a fierce boost. The collection is wary more edgy and powerful than seasons before. Not a focus on basics, but bright surprising pieces with an urban twist. Ninja pop meets club-kid.
