Philipp Plein Fall2012
Hunter Linda already knew a bit what to expect, from the Fashion show and the after party of Philipp Plein. Because she was present at the store opening in Dusseldorf a few months ago. Philipp did not disappoint us, we had a spectaculair last night in Milan. The show was organized is an old traditional church, a beautiful and special location for a fashion show and party. While entering the church we were impressed by the decoration of the church, the futuristic lights, the big diamond skull, the large white cages and the runway with not to mention the burlesque show by the artists of London’s Cirque du Soir, who are famous all over the world for their post punk reinterpretations of classic circus acts. We were so impressed by the artitsts and their performance that they remained our attention during the fashion show, when they were in the cages.
The show started after a powerfull and fierce performance from Belgian singer Sandrine. A performance which perfectly matched the collection. Philipp Plein was inspired by wild kingdom, biker jackets in snake and crocodille, animal printed jeggings, shawls with fox fringe, fur jackets. Next to the animal theme in the collection, the collection was inspired by the urban style. Garments like mini jackets, crystallized jackets and accessories, short fur coats passed the runway. The runway rocked, like we are used from Philipp Plein.
After the show, there was some time left before the after party started. We went out for a Italian dinner with our friend Tess, we enjoyed pizza and some wine to get in the party mood. On return to the afterparty we were suprised because the artists were back and still dancing on the runway. While listening to the DJ tunes, enjoying a cocktail and taking pictures from all the experiences around us we ended our last night in Milan.
