Pavillion hotel, London

London is a difficult city to find a good hotel. Either you pay lots of money, or you are far out of the center, or your room looks like crap. Not anymore after reading this. I (Hunter Niels) lived in London for a while and had a hart time finding a good hotel later when I went back as well. Until I found this boutique hotel ‘The Pavillion’. It’s very close to Oxford street, has 30 rooms and every room is unique. It’s very small, which I personally like a lot. It feels very personal and intimate. Prices of the rooms very from 60 pounds for a small single room to 130 pounds for a family room (2 adults and 2 kids). These prices are extremely low if you realize you are in a design hotel right in the center of the city. Every room has a different name, interior and theme. The ‘Honky Tonky Afro’ room is colourblocked with bright yellow and pink, combined with leopard prints. While the ‘White Days Soul Nights’ is very baroque and feels like you are in an old French castel. I stayd here in the ‘War and Peace’ room. It felt like I was in the history back when Napoleon was living. Red curtons around my bad, red/white striped walls, and an officers uniform in the corner. Funny thing is this hotel was the private residence of Napoleon’s private doctor back in the days. The hotel has been used for many photoshoots for Vogue, W, V, well actually eveyr magazine you could imagine. Celebrities often stay here and according to the Evening Standard it is the ‘London’s hottest crash pad for style slaves’. Well that’s us, so to me it felt like home.
