On the Hunt: Salone Internazionale
If you follow me on twitter, facebook or instagram. You might have noticed I’m in Milan right now. Disaronno invited me to explore Milan Design Week. Three days of fashion, design and cocktails. The Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano was launched in 1961, It is the largest furniture fair in the world. The show showcases the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world. Next to the fair, there are many events, presentations and parties.
The first appointment, the Missoni showroom. It was hard to make a selection, since the entire collection is beautiful. I selected a blue zigzag dress, coat, clutch and pair of shoes to wear to the Missoni event.
After Missoni, we brought a visit to the Antonio Marras conceptstore. Antonio Marras is one of the most creative Italian designers, known for his handcrafted pieces, intricate embroideries. This visit was like a dream. The store (more about this concept store soon), the interview with Antonio, the atmosphere, the people, the dresses. I felt like a princess.
I captured the dream, the house of architect and designer Barnaba Fornasetti. I got the opportunity to interview Mister Fornasetti and drink a coffee at the most inspiring house I’ve seen in my life. More about this interview will follow soon.
Aperitivo at Disaronno. Enjoying a Disaronno Sour at the first party of the night.
