On the Hunt NYFW SS14 – II
After New York Fashion Week I had plenty of time to explore the city. I have been several times in New York, but this was the first time I had no rush or agenda to keep in mind. All the time to explore different neighborhoods, shop, go to galleries or just chill in the park.
For the ultimate relaxation and shopping break I went chilling on the high-line, and for a walk in Central Park.
One of the New York City nights I went to an New York Fashion Week after party in the concept store Owen in Meatpacking district. After the party me and my Belgium friends went for a delicious shared dining meal at Aria. More about this restaurant will be online soon.
When you are in New York this month you need to go to the exhibition of Peter Lindbergh in the Vladimir Rotion Roitfeld gallery. This is the gallery of the son of Carine Roitfeld. The beautiful images of Peter Lindbergh are shown in the gallery which is a typical New York up-town residence. No queueing or fee’s, a super private environment to see the art of mister Lindbergh. I literally was the only person in the gallery at the time.
Another afternoon I went to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Together with three of my friends who I know from high school we left the Island for some hours to have a laid back lunch and drinks. After some hours my friends had to go to the airport. So I had some quality time on my own to get my hair done at a barber shop, and go for afternoon drinks and sunset at Whyte hotel.
I think you could say that at Whyte Hotel you have the best view of the skyline of NYC. This place is just perfect for afternoon drinks during the sunset. This picture is without any photoshop or filters.
