On the Hunt in Milan: Six shows, 2 parties and 2 Hunters
Our first day Milan Fashion Week we started with a huge home made cappuccino.
First show was at 9.30, Moschino. An early, but good start of the day. Especially the over-sized prints made us very happy. The print Moschino used reminded us of a childrens drawing: Happy colourful flowers.
At Duomo right before the second show of the day.
Second show was Les Copains. The location was very special, in the middle of the centre, right around the corner of Duomo, in a former church. What stood out for us the most concerning the show of Les Copains, was the knitwear. The combination of this masculine fabric, combined with silk and print trousers gave an edgy look. We later that day saw this knitwear trend at more shows. After the show we did a little streetstyle session, before we went to the next show Just Cavalli.
Hunters at Iceberg.
One of the IT-models this season is Cara Delevigne. From the six shows we saw, she was in three of them. Even on this blurry picture you could see her beautiful bonestructure.
We took the wrong train so had to miss one show. When you have so many shows a day it’s kind of a challenge to be in time at all of them.
The audience after the show of Costume National. One of our favourite shows of the day. The way Costume National uses leather is amazing. They have the perfect leather hotpants, LBD and for men pants and leather trenchcoats in the SS2013 collection.
After six shows it was time for some relaxation. First party of the night was at Dantone.
On our way to the second party we bumped into this gay-squad. They were very helpful to give us directions on where to go. Moreover they were very impressed by Hunter Niels hight.
We finished the day at the launch of L’Officiel Donna. An exclusive party, with the it-crowd of Italy, live music and Laduree macarons.
After an extremely busy day, we were on the one hand extremely tired, but on the other hand full of energy of all the impressions. Curious what the next day was going to bring.
