Norma’s, New York City
One of the breakfasts, that I (Hunter Niels) will never forget is at Norma’s, in Le Parker Meridien. As soon as I arrived I got a shot of juice, and instead of asking me for tea, coffee or water. The waiter asked if I wanted a fresh juice. After tasted the delicious (free) juice shot it was hard to say no. The names on the menu are very unique, like “Rabbit Food,” and “Breakfast—if you party like a rock star”. The menu at Norma’s is extremely big, and every egg-dish you like to have is on it. And even some egg dishes you never heared of. Like the 1.000 dollar omelette. The omelette comes with lobster and 995 dollar worth of caviar. Well, I didn’t go for that one, since it was too heavy for me, but I did enjoyed some delicious egg’s. I went for a simple cheese omellete with bacon, and never got such a big omelette before. I think it consisted of 4 egg’s, and 2 ounce of cheese and half a pork. However I shared it with my mum, so that helped. Norma’s is very modern and classic the same time, with the high ceilings, wood paneling, and silver-edged tables. The audience is a mixture of business people having breakfast meetings, and upper-east side families.
