Norman Ambrose SS2012
Norman Ambrose started sketching clothes at the early age of 12. He was born and raised in California, graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and continued his studie in Milan. In Milan he worked on projects for Versace and Bottega Veneta. From Milan, Norman moved to New York where he launched his own label. The FW11 collection was the first collection Norman showed at Lincoln Center. The Hunters were so lucky to attend his first Spring/Summer collection during NYC Fashion Week. We really liked to be part of this moment. Besides the well known designers we saw showing in NYC we tought it was very inspiring to see new talent. That Norman worked for Versace and Bottega Veneta, was very recognizable in his designs and collections. The collection he showed was very italian, very glamorous. A style the Hunters really appriciate and used in a fashion shoot earlier. The women Norman Ambrose designs for, are women who are independent, know what they want and love luxury. The collection could be seen as couture. Women who buy Norman Ambrose are private clients which buy clothes that are tailor made. The Hunters enjoyed the show and liked the SS2012 collection. A lot of gold, silver shiny trousers, dresses made of luxurious materials passed the runway. There even were some items Hunter Linda would like to have in her own wardrobe.
