Nail Polish, the unexpected accessory
I never leave my house without polish on my nails or without 2 different colors in my bag. I’m addicted to polish. Nail polish is the finishing touch, it completes my outfit. I was happy to see that one of hottest accessories for spring 2013 are cool, eye-catching nails. I spotted many different colors, styles and combinations on the Spring 2013 runways. You don’t have to throw the purchases from last season out. Contrast is the keyword to keep in mind.
Light and innocent to dark and dangerously chic. Toning down your nails is the new way to play it cool. Neutral, cream colored nails, soft milky shades seen at Marc Jacobs, pure whites at Rag & Bone, and plenty of un-done French mani’s at Chanel.
Speaking about contrast. Jason Wu turned his models into dark angels. Cage inspired designs at Rodarte, gold, silver and cooper shades of metallic at Dsquared. And not to mention Prabal Gurung. The amazing dripping blood effect.
And last but not least the new twist on the French manicure. Contrasting shades of colors that flatter your skintone. This trend is super easy to do on your own nails. I want to challenge myself and try the dripping blood effect. Keep you posted girls!
