N. on the Hunt: L’Officiel, Maastricht and shoe-love
The week started lovely dinner at my balcony. As background music we had Beyonce performance at Glastonburry.
This weeks fashion event was from River Island. We went to see the fall/winter collection. Recognizable for the collection was the London-style mixed with a twenties look. Mini dresses, sequent, and amazing & giant jewelry for the women. And for the men ultra skinny trousers, burgundy blazers and an un-expected mix of styling a knitted sweater with dress-up blazers. River Island is for us one of the favourite high street brands when it comes to party looks.
A new Hunter match! These new colourful Vans sneakers
Next week the Fashion Week madness will start all-over again. First stop for us will be New York Fashion Week. Linda and I had a meeting to talk about the most important question: ‘What to wear?’
In the weekend I went to Maastricht for Preuvenemint. Preuvenemint is the biggest and best food event of the year for the Netherlands. Each year this is hosted in Maastricht. For me it’s extra special to be there, since I used to live in Maastricht and worked twice for Preuvemint while I was working for the Michelin star restaurant Beluga. Besides the foods and drinks at Preuvenemint we went to many bars and shops. Fun fun fun!!!
My new Prada shoes!
A smashing end of another amazing week(end). On Museumplein in Amsterdam (right around my corner) was the Uitmarkt. This is the official opening of the new cultural season in the Netherlands. Since I was in Maastricht I couldn’t see anything except of the closing event the ‘Musical sing-a-long’. The original Dutch cast of musicals like Shrek, Sister Act and Little Mermaid (my favourite performance) were performing live on stage. A colourful end of Hunter Niels week.
