N. on the Hunt: From charity to Okura
Let’s start were Hunter Linda ended: Queensday. The night before I went to VIP Live. Dutch actors and actresses are singing in a jam session kind of setting. It was good fun and great start of my Queensday. Next time VIP Live is on, I will let you guys know! Excuse me for the bad quality picture, but hey it’s Queensday, who am I to blaim?
After VIP live I went dancing in Paradiso till early in the morning.
After a couple of hours sleep it was time for Champagne breakfast. After a good breakfast me and my neon socks were ready to rock.
However I was too lazy to go walk to the other side of the city so took a taxi. With my red cup full of Cosmopolitan we had a great start of the day. The other pictures of Queensday you already saw in Linda’s previous on the Hunt.
On Tuesday I took my new Reebok sneakers out for a walk. What do you think of these tweed sneakers?
On Thursday I had to wake up very early, because I had to be in the woods of Belgium at 9.00 in the morning. Reason for this early trip was to plant taxus trees. This is a project from Timberland. They are going to plant three taxus woods in the the next coming years. Taxus trees not only contribute to the environment but also help fight cancer. Taxus trees contain baccatin in their needles that is developed as anti-cancer drug. This tree planting in Gierle, Belgium was the start of this project. We had planted 5.000 taxus trees which contains enough baccatin for 200 chemo therapy cures (if I remember correctly). The beginning of an exceptional project has just started!
Friday afternoon I went for drinks and bites at Boca’s. Soon more information about this hotspot will be shared with you.
On Saturday I hunted another new hotspot, De Liefde. Soon I will tell you all about this secret jewel of Amsterdam.
On Saturday it was ‘Freedom day’. While walking on the streets I bumped into this band. Nice music, but what striked me the most was the cute guitare player.
After walking through the cold streets of a typical grey Spring day in Amsterdam I treated myself with a little drink at this very pink cafe ‘Prik’.
And on Saturday night Linda and I went to the Okura Hotel for ‘Taste of Okura’. We started with a Cointreau Rendez-Vous where we got a cocktail workshop. Curious what the Taste of Okura is about? Tomorrow we will tell you all about it.
And Sunday was my lazy day. Nothing better than lying in my window-pane, writing some posts, with some music, TV shows, coffee and bites.
