N. on the Hunt: Baby’s, cocktails and more
In June I will be out of the country a lot. A luxury position, and I love to travel, however that is why this week I enjoyed so much of the beauty of Amsterdam this past week. Coffee’s with friends, tennis games, chilling on the balcony and roofterraces, and cycling over the canals.
Last week I re-discovered tennis. I really love playing it, especially when winning. Afterwards I did my cool down with a coffee in the sun with my friend and colleague Natascha.
On Monday I had a smashing start of the week with my friends, delicious cocktails and Alexis Mabille. Alexis Mabille was in Amsterdam to launch his collaboration with Cointreau. You might have seen Hunter Linda’s earlier post about the interview she had with the designer. I couldn’t make it to the interview, but truly enjoyed the after party.
Life isn’t always a party. Sometimes some healthy food, a glass of wine and TV is all you need for a fun night. Next to TV I was browsing through the latest issue of the Dutch Elle. The devoted a hugh article about Mallorca. I happen to be so lucky to go to Mallorca next month. Can’t wait!
On Wednesday I went waxing, the first time for me. This week I will tell you all about this experience in a extensive blogpost.
After the waxing experience it was time for drinks to celebrate we survived. Moreover we had a long weekend ahead so an extra reason to celebrate. In the club we found this phone and decided to do little role play. First you see my facial expression when I see Hunter Linda is calling again, and than you see the hysterical Hunter Linda talking to me. 😉
On Thursday my friend took me out on the town in Rotterdam. A whole new experience for me, since it was one of the first times for me to go out in this city. We had dinner at this very cute restaurant ‘Opa’s’, I will soon share more information about this spot with you. What I thought what was really funny, I just arrived in Rotterdam, and after ten minutes I see this painting in the window. Doesn’t she look exactly like Hunter Linda? Even in Rotterdam Hunter Linda is Hunting me.
After the rough night on the town in Rotterdam I was a little hang-overed, and did absolutely nothing the whole day. With my last energy I walked to the grocery shop and took this picture of myself.
Saturday I was ‘Daddy for a day’. Me and my friend babysitted on Tom. We went to the parc, terraces, and walked throughout the whole city. So funny to see all those faces when you walk around with a baby. You see people think ‘Was he drunk and made her pregnant?’, ‘Aaah, he still didn’t found out’, ‘Poor girl’, and ‘Hot daddy’.
After the baby got picked up by the parents I went to ‘Rollende Keukens’ at Westerpark. Rollende Keukens is like a food festival. All different kind of restaurants have stands with food. From sweets to cheeses and from vegetarian to burgers. They have all kinds of food and beverages. Besides the good drinks and bites it’s the perfect place to watch people. It really feels like a festival, and the crowd that came to ‘Rollende Keukens’ is a wide mix. Next year I will tell you earlier so you guys could go check it out as well. After ‘Rollende Keukens’ I met Hunter Linda at Boom Chicago where our girls from the Spacegirls celebrated their one year anniversary.
When I got home after mid-night, I saw my neighbours from Gewoon (catering company) were unloading the car. I thought I might just help them. In return for my help I got this amazing bouquet of flowers.
Sunday was all about my mum. I took her out for brunch at ‘G & T’s Really Really nice Brunch’. I was wearing my print H&M trousers, and it was a perfect match with my coffee cup. However after the coffee it was time for cocktails and delicious food. We had a ‘Moscow Mule’ for a drink and the ‘Ibiza Salad’ and an amazing wrap (forgot the name). After brunch we got a quick coffee at Two for joy and than we went to show my mum Rollende Keukens. She wasn’t wearing the most comfortable outfit for the parc (fur Prada heels), but who cares. After the brunch we went to La Oliva for some pinxtos and vinos, and than mum-day was over.
However I couldn’t resist to have just one more drink with my friend to celebrate the great week(end) I had.
