Dare to mix and match

To stay up to date, to be aware of all the trends and developments in the fashion and beauty industry we read a lot of magazines, we follow a lot of blogs and we try to see all the fashion shows. Before we started Lifestylehunters we watched a lot of shows online. Since we are bloggers, this changed. Last season one of our dreams came true. We visit NYC and Paris Fashion Week where we saw the SS2012 collections. We write this blogpost about the trends for SS2012 with a completely different feeling than before, because we experienced it by ourselves. During our visit to NYC and Paris we already written about the shows which we attented. Now we will focus on the Fashion Trends in general. So you can start slowly with the preparations for you Spring/Summer wardrobe. I must admit, despite the fact we didn’t had winter in Holland yet I’m done with my wardrobe. I’m ready for shorts without tights, sandals, garments in bright colors, cheerful prints and patterns, striking lipsticks and bright nails and hair. What about you? So for 2012 the runways were filled with bright colors, glittery tops, metallic jackets, bold stripes, ruffles, fringe, caftan dresses, pastel shades, boho tops, 70’s inspired trousers, colorblocking, striking patterns and prints. The designers created fearless combinations. The mix and match from different prints and patterns is one of the most important trends for SS2012. Performing this trend takes some guts, because it is striking. What we like is that there are nu rules and nothing is too crazy. Mix and match prints and patterns, like paisleys, botanical flowers, ethnic prints, silk, crochet and rich garnish. The animal print which was a trend for FW11/12 is also seen in a lot of SS12 collections. Snake, leopard, feather and reptile incorporated in clothing but also a must see on bags and shoes. Next to the animals the jungle is also an important print. Tropical fruits, hawaiian florals and polynesian tiki prints wiil bring a exotic flavor in your wardrobe. The streets will be so fun and colorfull if everybody will reflect this trend is his outfit.
