Milkshake Festival 2015 line up
What if life was like a Lady Gaga, Madonna or Conchita Wurst lyrics and/or videoclip and everybody was accepted, appreciated and celebrated? Thick, thin, small, large, gay, straight, trans, black or white: people are the salt of the earth and this is what is celebrated at Milkshake festival this Sunday, the 19th of July. If you are a boy and want to wear a pink tutu, or a girl and don’t care about shaving your armpits, this is the place where you can put your arms up in the air and do a twirl and by yourself without anybody caring. I’ve been to the festival three times and each time I was amazed about all the divers crowd, outfits and performances.
Milkshake festival shows that entertainment, taste in music, choice of clothing and status has nothing to do with sexuality. Life is just a party thanks to the great diversity of skin colors, religions, sexual preferences and male and female forms. Milkshake wants to celebrate the city’s initiatives and is an impetus to bring courtesy and friendly manners.
This year Milkshake Festival welcomes Amanda Lepore, Big Freedia, Jodie Harsh, Cakes da Killa, Lady Miss Kier, Dr. Lektroluv and Hercules and Love Affair who will bring their own share of craziness to the day. Shaking your cakes on R&B tunes at Viezepoezendek or get topless and hug some hairy muscle man at Erwin Olaf or Rapido. There is a dancefloor and crowd for every mood.
Get your tickets here. See you Sunday!
