Milan Men Fashion Week SS14 – 1
Buongiorno! As you might know we woke up this morning in Milan. We’re getting ready for the second day of Milan Men Fashion Week right now. Curious about the first day, scroll, down!
The first show of the day, the first big show of the season and Stefano Pilati’s debut show for the luxury brand, Ermenegildo zegna. Pilati visually took us inside the fashion machinery for his runway show. An amazing atmosphere. Crumpled cuffs, armbands on tailored jackets, coats and fine sweaters. Shirt cuffs folded over elbow-length sleeves on finely knit sweaters. An interesting mix of fabrics and colors, an interesting start of the season.
Another show we attended (we couldn’t make nice pictures of all the shows) was Costume National. At Costume National the key-look was an South Italian (Puglia) Cowboy. A modern cowboy, wearing beautiful leather, fine tailoring, androgynous with a masculine twist. Biggest part of the collection was black and white, however there also appeared a gold, turquoise and yellow suit on the runway.
Besides the shows we also had some appointments in the showrooms. One of them was Missoni, were we selected a very nice outfit to wear during the show. Tomorrow the first look will be online. Lot’s of color, lot’s of print and of course zigzagging motifs.
Finishing the first day Italian style. With a quick pizza and a party with Dolce & Gabbana.
