Mercer Hotel, New York

What I (Hunter Niels) like so much about New York, is that every one goes out for food: For cocktails, lunch, high tea’s, dinner, as well as breakfast. One of my favourite spots for breakfast in New York is the Mercer in Soho. It’s the perfect place to start a long day of shopping. The Mercer Hotel is located opposite the Prada store from Dutch designer Rem Koolhaas. The hotel is elegant, subtle and intimate. I never stayed here, but I did checked the rooms and they have the feeling of an authentic, NYC loft. So if you can effort $525 a night, I can really recommend the hotel. And if not, than you should go here for breakfast. The breakfast corner is on grownth floor which gives you a nice overview of New Yorkers passing by to their work. Down-stairs is also possible to have lunch, but I prefer to sit on the grownth-floor, since I love watching people. They serve delicious bagels with creamcheese, salmon and jam, salads, sandwiches and eggs. The egg white omelet is very good, and gives you just the right energy to strut de soho, greenwhich and meatpacking streets for some major shopping. The tables are very close to eachother, which makes it easy to contact with fellow New Yorkers. Nice fact, mister Big stayed here in sex in the city, and the girls from the show regular went here for lunch and breakfast. Celebrities that often come her for lunch or breakfast are: Kanye West, Heidi Klum and Courtney Love.
