The name tells the story itself for the new fragrance from Diesel. The smell is tempting, feminine and powerfull. It is for the self aware woman, who isn’t arrogant, but does feel very comfortable with who she is. Boys want to be with her, and gays and girls envy her. Jasmin, amber, ceder wood and mandarin are the basis for the fragrance. The Hunters got a special, presentation from the very attractive Frankjan (Product Group Manager Diesel Fragrances), and were all ears when he mentioned there is a special affroditiate abstract in the newest fragrance from Diesel. Now at least we had an excuse that we were listening and looking to him so carefully. The bottle is hart-shaped, with a pin right through it, which puts emphasis on the girly but still tough character of the fragrance. Besides the fragrance, Diesel fashion made a line of products which matched the shape of the perfume bottle. The jeans, bag and sunglasses are available in the Diesel stores.
Like Frankjan mentioned, it is always difficult to find the right model for a fragrance campaign. You could go for the easy way out, and hiring a celebrity, however this is not Diesel-like. Diesel spotted model Ashley Smith during the Vivienne Westwood show. On the end of the show she did a quirky dance with grapped their attention. Ashley is 18 years old, and started modelling when she was 16. However after a couple of jobs she quit and continued her studies. Two years later she did the Vivienne Westwood show, and now she is more in the positive vibe, likes her work and does shows for Chanel and many other mayor designers. Her quirky attitude, openess, freshness and rock & roll attitude is the exact character Diesel was looking for, for Loverdose.
