Lapo Elkann, style icon

You have those people, who are always very well dressed. Who you just can’t catch on a fashion mistake. One of those is Lapo Elkann. For the once who don’t know who he is: Born in NYC, Italian roots, industrialist, used to be the assistant of Henry Kissinger (Ferrari, Massarati), currently manager of brand promotion Fiat Automobiles, playboy, loves parties, loves drugs, loves transsexuals. And according to the Hunters and Vanity Fair part of Best Dressed Hall of Fame. His style is very classic, very well tailored, and very Italian. Velvet suits, printed shirts, smashing glasses, tie’s and neckerchiefs are part of his daily wardrobe. No matter how slick his look is, he always keeps a little bit of the badboy look because of his tattoo’s and long hair. When going to the beach, Lapo is a little bit more casual: Short shorts, a hat, simple t-shirt and ofcourse, smashing sunglasses. The Hunters met Lapo during Amsterdam International Fashion Week, when he was wearing a bright orange suit. His look is very inspiring for me (Hunter Niels), because it shows there is no reason to under-dress. A bow-tie, snake skin shoes, and colourful suits too much? Not according to Lapo, and not according to me. Enjoy some of our favourite looks of mister Lapo, by clicking on the post.
