L. on the Hunt: Mojito, Taco’s, Nachos en Guacamole
The week after Milan was a busy eventful week. Writing articles, catch up with my boyfriend, dinner with friends, fashion and beauty events in Amsterdam and the organization of the guerrilla action to promote Vrij Festival.
Those who follow me on Facebook, may have seen this picture already. My team and I striking a pose in The Hague. Click on this link to see the video. Friday 13th July. will be your best friday of the year! There are still tickets available.
Accounting isn’t my favorite activity. But it’s a part of the job.
Amsterdam Fashion Weeks starts this week. Hans Ubbink showed his Spring 2013 collection last week. The show was organized at Het Grachtenhuis a very special, unique and beautiful location in Amsterdam. In contrast to last season the setup was very intimate. Matching suits, tightly cut jackets, shirts and pants in luxurious materials like silk, mohair and cashmere. The designs were clean and simple, but surprising by the material, patterns and prints. The solid colors, airy fabrics and loose fits reminded my of a nice summer evening.
I was invited by Taschen to attend the Presentation/Book signing with legendary photographer Harry Benson. He has photographed every American President from Eisenhower to Barack Obama, he was feet away from Bobby Kennedy when he was assassinated, he was with the Beatles on their first American tour. Last Monday he was in Amsterdam to sign the book, The Beatles on the road 1964-1966.
Wednesday evening was such a lovely evening. I had dinner with my girls Anna and Tess. We enjoyed the nice weather, good Mexican food and delicious cocktails at Restaurant Rose’s Cantinas.
Business dinner meeting at Hunter’s casa. Stay tuned, because this is going to be an awesome project.
Sweating my ass off at the gym, while texting Tess, answering some e-mails and checking out recipes for dinner. That’s what we call multitasking and efficient working.
Next to the two fashion events I attended last week, I was invited to attend the beauty forecast from Thierry Mugler and Sensai. All upcoming launches for Fall/Winter were presented.
I wish you could smell these feathers, guys. During the presentation I got an sneak peek about a new fragrance. Which is really interesting.
After having dinner at others the entire week, it was my turn to cook. Renwe and I invited Tess and Kamal to join a Mexican dinner at our place. I have never had so many taco’s, cheese and guacamole in my life, like I had last week.
A rainy Sunday Afternoon, the ultimate occasion to attend a fashion show. Ado les Scents by Hyun Yeu showed his SS13 collection.
A church, such a cool location for a fashion show.
A white colour palette, lots of shorts, double breasted jackets, long jackets, silky materials. More about this collection will follow soon!
