L on the Hunt for pinchos, wine, cocktails and shoes
While preparing this post, I’m still in Barcelona. I’m sitting on the rooftop of Casa Camper, our second stay. Curious about my experiences I made the last days? Scroll down.
Italy is world famous for its ice cream. I was surprised about the amount of Ice Parlours in Barcelona, we picked a good one. It was delicious.
Taking a picture with the front Iphone camera is quite difficult. In my opinion this is a lucky shot.
Ready to go out for dinner. Standing in front of the hotel.
We love the location of our hotel in El Born, we decided to stay in ‘our’ neighborhood the second evening. We had dinner in a restaurant, located just around the corner of the hotel.
After dinner we went for drinks in Club Mix, also located around the corner.
I got the tip to rent a bicycle in Barcelona, which was a great tip! Discovering Barcelona by bike is great.
The first stop. Breakfast at a lovely place, highly recommended. More about this lovely place will follow soon!
Renwe matches the bike
The second stop. Zara and one of my favorite shops for accessoires shops, Bimbo y Lola. Another benefit from renting a bike is discovering other areas, which means other shops. OMG, I went crazy.
The result, 3 pair of shoes, a sweater, a t-shirt and a present from my boyfriend.
A quick visit to the market.
Pinchos and Vino for lunch
Bicycling through the whole city, pit stop at the beach
We cycled to the north of Barcelona. To join the festival Fiesta Mayor de Gracia. The Gracia festival is the biggest and most festive of Barcelona’s many neighbourhood street festivals. About one and a half million people visit the Gracia Festival, which started on 15th August 2012 for the 196th edition. The Gracia festival is a colourful street festival that fills many streets and plazas of the Gracia area. It was nice to see a different part of Barcelona, to have a drink with the locals and to take pictures from these amazing arts.
Saturday evening, we went out for dinner at the beach and after dinner we tried to get a cocktail at Hotel W. Some of you might recognize the view. When we entered Hotel W, I had the feeling I was in Paris, waiting to climb the eiffel tower. But it was worth it, we had a blast.
We stayed in Casa Camper for the last 2 days of our stay in Barcelona. I passed by this hotel many times before, as it’s located in the city center. This time I was so lucky to stay here. The moment we entered the hotel, we were super enthusiastic. The moment we entered the room and not to mention our own sitting room we were amazed. I didn’t want to leave the hotel. The service, the environment, the room, the terrace, the 24 hour service, the red bad soap in the shower, really everything is great. This hotel is a must stay! More about Casa Camper Barcelona will follow soon.
After the beach, we took a shower and went to the sixth floor to relax a bit.
And to prepar this on the hunt post.
Barcelona, thank you for those lovely days. We will miss you!
