Cosmetics are just like men and play an important role in our lives. In order to love someone, you must first judge them. At least you can ask the same questions to judge a man either your cosmetics.
Hunter Niels went out for a date with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. To be more precise the limited edition by Selwyn Senatori.
1. Love at first sight?
The colourful packaging did attract me right from the start.
2. Where does he come from?
In 1851 the botanist John Kiehl named his pharmacy after a legendary pear-tree. In that way trees have always be an important phenomenon for the cosmetics brand. To do something back for the nature they will plant a complete Kiehl’s forrest this year just outside Amsterdam. They will do this in combination with ‘Trees for All’. To get extra attention for this special cause Kiehl’s started the collaboration with Selwyn Senatori for the design. Selwyn is a Dutch/Italian neopop artist. For him trees are the oxygen for his creativity so the link was easily made. For every jar they sell a tree will be planted. On top of that Kiehl’s will start with donating 100 trees.
3. How would you describe him?
The Ultra Facial Cream of Kiehl’s is very subtle. It hydrates the skin, without being to greasy or shiny.
4. What attracted you the most about him?
The concept of buying a beauty product and give something back by planting a tree appeals to me the most.
5.What is his financial status?
A 40 ml jar costs €25,- .
6. Where did you meet him?
Available at the autherized Kiehl’s beauty shops and the larger luxury department stores. Amongst others De Bijenkorf, in Amsterdam.
7. One night stand or long term relationship?
Hydrating the skin is super important and something I do every day. Helping the earth by planting a tree convinces me extra to get the Ultra Facial Cream of Kiehl’s by Selwyn Senatori so a long term relationship for sure.
