How to pose?
Everybody knows the famous Voque pose: the hands on hip with chest out. I’m sure when you get photographed you will act the voque pose every now and than. But that look is passé. When you want to pose like a professional model you have to practice the Couture Hunch pose. (Arms on the hips, legs apart, neck and shoulder forward, with the back arched). Model and muse from Christian Dior, Dorian Elizabeth Parker introduced the Couture Hunch pose. In the late 90s the Couture Hunch made an aggressive resurgense and quickly became the Haute Couture pose.
Now-a-days models (Cindy Crawford) and stars (Lady Gaga) choose to pose The Hunch for a reason. The Hunch is meant to elongate the neck and Torso, while flattering the arms. This pose (if done correctly) can make the thinnest model look leander and the garment more expressed.
What are you (including you guys) waiting for go the mirror an start practice this pose. Clamp those ribs, arch those backs and get your Hunch on!
Nice to know: For those who want to do it perfect, or struggle a little bit with the pose, it is possible to follow a course at Voque Academy.
