Gansevoort, New York City

Oke, imagine this: You have  been shopping all day long, spend a million at Jeffrey’s, and you want to go for a little drink before dinner at Pastis. We know the perfect spot for you: Gansevoort. It’s in the middle of meatpacking district, opposite Pastis. This hotel has a roofterrace that overlooks down0-town New York. Many youngsters come here for afternoon drinks and bites. The rooftop has a pool as well, so when you are in New York City for a longer period it is the place to chill down as well. But now back to the cocktails. As we said, it is the perfect place for afternoon drinks. I (Hunter Niels) was here a couple of years ago, with my mother. We spend the whole day of shopping, and right before we went to change our outfit for dinner, we went for drinks at the Gansevoort roof terrace. We had an amazing time. The cocktails were great, the view spectacular, and the crowd was hot-hotter-die-hottest. Many models, fashion and PR people were hanging out here. At some point a waiter came to us and offered us drink from a lovely gentleman on the other side of the terrace. The guy was obviously a model, and my mum and I had no clue how to react to this. We had a drink, did some small talk, and than we needed to go, since we had a costume change for the night life of NYC.
