Crepes au Grand Marnier – Amsterdam
When you talk about crepes you don’t really think of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is more related to the pancake bakery’s on the canals and space cake. However this super tiny and cute creperie just opened it doors in the (nieuwe) Spiegelstraat in Amsterdam. It’s the perfect place to go to on your Sunday walk, or to have a break from your shopping spree on the canals. At Crepes au Grand Marnier you could for sure get the best crepes of the city. The best crepe they have is obviously with Grand Marnier. It’s pretty strong, almost like eating a cocktail. Since I happen to love my cocktails you can’t make me happier.
Spiegelstraat always has been one of my favorite streets of Amsterdam. The mix of restaurants, boutique shops, and art galleries makes it entertaining. Moreover at the end of the street is the Rijksmuseum where after years you could cycle through. Which is the quickest way to go home for me, so I pass this street several times a week. Now I have an extra reason to come to this street. When eating the crepes it reminds me of Paris Fashion Week were crepes are about the only thing I ate during the whole week since we have to rush from show to show. Sweet Parisien memories in Amsterdam.
