Claes Iversen AW12/13
Yesterday morning we told you in the post of Elie Saab that our fashion marathon is almost done. We are busy with the last reviews about the shows which we attended in Paris. But we have to take our words back.
Our diary for this week is filled with shows and fashion events in Amsterdam. It’s almost like AFW is starting again. Yesterday afternoon the Hunters were invited to attend the Fall 2012 collection from Claes Iversen. Unfortunately Hunter Niels couldn’t attend the show. The show was in the Oude Kerk (old church) in Amsterdam. A beautiful location and a perfect match with the collection. When the music turned on and the first model entered the runway I was surprised.
This collection promised to be quite different than previous collections which were feminine and colorful. The music was dramatic and even a bit dark. Tightly fitting, feminine silhouettes constructed of different layers on top, in colors like mysterious black, dark brown and green combined with gold, white and mint green. The dark lips and stern look of the models increased the mysterious atmosphere. On first sight the collection is very dramatic and dark, and gets more beautiful after seeing the collection more than once, because of the special details like the embroidered feathers, leaves and flowers made from wire and silk in the designs of this collection. Funny thing to know is that despite the fact we didn’t saw the show together, the black layered dress was for both of us our favorite.
