The Chocolate Company, Amsterdam
There appeared a smile on my face when I was walking on the Haarlemmerdijk and passed the window of the this shop:The Chocolate Company. Besides fashion, bags, shoes, cocktails, nail polish and socks the hunters are addicted to chocolate. In this hotspot, the Chocolate Company it’s all about chocolate and especially about the Hotchocspoon. The discovery of this chocolate delight started in 2004 in the kitchen of the first store in Aken, Germany were they were making hot chocolate. Large boilers hot chocolade made by themself because they never had better hot chocolate than the one they were making each day. They tried to add a different flavor, every day to find the best hot chocolate. It took a lot of time to clean these large boilers every day, in finding a solution to save time, the idea to make chocolate for just one person arised. The Hotchocspoon, a chunk of chocolate on a spoon, stirring true by your hot milk. This way of drinking hot chocolate was a great success. After the store in Germany, there followed many other stores. From the Netherlands till Japan, from Sweden till Canada the Hotchocspoon is available worldwide. As the number of locations the range of chocolate products expanded as well. The hotchocspoon is available in 75 flavors. Flavors like parline, ginger, cookie, hot chilli, banana, nuts, there are even spoons available with liquor. As a matter of fact the liquor spoons are amazing! Besides the chocspoons you can find chocbars in a lot of flavors, bonbon, mini mendiants a delicious treat with coffee or tea, cans of liquid chocolate for those who like to have a layer of chocolate on everything and last but not least the chocspread for example the sandwich. The Chocolate Company is chocolate heaven for those who love chocolate. Hunter Linda discoverd the chocspoon a few years ago in Limburg. The taste of the hotchocspoon remained me for years. You can imagine I was really happy with the advent of the shop in my neighborhood. Even if you are not a big fan of chocolate, go for a drink you can also order coffee, tea or soda and try a piece of cake. Believe me, it’s a visit to the Haarlemmerdijk more than worth.
